hey i am a complete newbie i cant get my card to inject packets i think i need to downgrade the firmware but i dont have a clue how to do it. can someone please help me. i need module v1.0.6 v1.0.9 v1.0.10 and i need a step by step process to installing the firmware. help help please. thanks guys

download aircrack 0.9, install it
put your card up
put your card in monitor mode
aireplay-ng -9 eth0(or your dev)
will test ijection for your card.....
BTW have you check hcl list ?

I do believe that you cannot inject with the ipw2200. But yes, check the HCL list on the BT wiki.
If not, i suggest getting the netgear wg511t. It wasnt too pricey and it uses an atheros chip so you can inject.
