This is where I get the error. Tried using adb shell to fiddle with the bootbt script and found that this is where the error comes in. From everything I can tell, cyanogen's kernel on the G2x has the capability for mounting loopback devices. Not sure what I'm missing...
Do you have a /data/local/mnt directory?
Of course, if you really wanted to have some fun, go to Wal-Mart late at night and ask the greeter if they could help you find trashbags, roll of carpet, rope, quicklime, clorox and a shovel. See if they give you any strange looks. --Streaker69

I do. The bootbt script didnt create it properly, so I had to make it myself. I am able to read and write from the /data/local/mnt dir. The $kit variable is working properly as well.

Worked perfectly. I can now run metasploit on my phone! Only problem I'm having now is when I try to connect through vnc.

    Code:
There is a problem with the configuration server.
     (/usr/lib/libgconf2-4/gconf-sanity-check-2 exited with status 256)
I've tried reconfiguring the vnc server by changing the geometry to fit my phone and can't ever get past this error.
