It will break Backtrack, more than that we do not support it so if you choose to go down that road you are on your own.

It is probably possible. However, at this point I think you would be better off just waiting for KDE 4 which is shipping with Backtrack 5. I don't believe that 4.6 is in the repos and you would probably have to build from source which is likely to be more hellish then simply waiting 10 days for BT5.

Sorry bout that, but I think this topic is covered like a gazillion times alreeady and from my point of view why bother with to much aesthetics when everything is done thru the bare metal?
