    Default Broadcom Packet Injection

hi.....i'm really new to this stuff and was just wondering.....i read up and found out that bt2 now supports the broadcom chipset.....i am able to put my wireless card (Dell Wireless 1490 --> broadcom chipset) into monitor mode but when i try to do the packet injection i can never authenticate to the AP.....is this because I need to install the patch for my wireless card (if it is, is it the one at the link: from aircrack titled bcm43xx-injection-linux-2.6.20.patch)...i know that i turned MAC filtering off so it cannot be that

any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

Broadcom support is sketchy at best. Better option would be to acquire a more fully supported card!
