GParted bundled with Backtrack... I don't trust it

The couple times I've used it, it worked okay. Usually I just use my trusty 512Mb usb drive that thinks it's a gparted live cd.

I've use GParted loads of time to play around with partitions.

When I use GParted from a Ubuntu Live CD, it always works fine.

However, I think the GParted that comes with Backtrack might be broken. So far, it's destroyed 2 partitions on me.

Has anyone else had problems with the GParted that comes with Backtrack?

Of course, it might just be a total coincidence that I was using Backtrack the times those partitions got destroyed, or it could be a problem with the GParted that's bundled with Backtrack.

Anyone else has similar experiences?

I'm pretty sure this is an upstream package so it would affect other distros as well.
Either way BT doesn't really come with a guarantee as you know.
On the other hand I have never had problems with it.
