    Default Success! now what?

    I was able to successfully crack my wep network key, yes this is exciting as I am sure it was exciting the very first time you did it, and aircrack says "Key Found [3534333231]"

    Now, I am sure this is hexidecimal, right? How can I confirm this is my key? My 64-bit key for my network was 54321. Do they equal each other? How do I convert it once I crack the key?

    Noob question, I know. But any suggestions would be nice.

    Thank

    Aircrack keys are posted in hex format. You don't need to convert it. When you configure your card to use the AP, simply use the hex format.
    "\x74\x68\x65\x70\x72\x65\x7a\x39\x38";

    theprez, thanks for your response.

    Could you tell me the codes to set my wep key on my card and the associate with a particular AP and dhcp? I know its just a few lines of code and was wondering if you knew it off the top of your head.

    Say the wep 64bit key was 3242332321 (in hex, I assume).

    Thanks!

    Code:
    man iwconfig
    or
    Code:
    iwconfig [interface] essid [SSID] key [key]
    Assuming your interface is ath0 and your AP is named Linksys
    Code:
    iwconfig ath0 essid Linksys key 3242332321
    to configure your card, and
    Code:
    dhcpcd ath0
    to connect.
    "\x74\x68\x65\x70\x72\x65\x7a\x39\x38";

    excellent help, prez.

    When I type dhcpcd ath0, it says the program is not found. I am using the Auditor Security Collection. Is it on there? How do I install it?

    Is there a substitute program I could use to activate the dhcp settings?

    Thanks again, been a big help.

    Ok, auditor does not use dhcpcd but instead uses pump.

    Try
    pump -i ath0
    "\x74\x68\x65\x70\x72\x65\x7a\x39\x38";
