Autostart Directory

I want to launch a program at start up. Google tells me that the directory is .kde/Autostart. I don't see this directory. Where is it??? This is the command I am going to run once I get the right directory:

ln -s ~dropbox-dist/dropboxd ~.kde/Autostart (correcting the directory of course)

create the folder yourself. It should be a hidden folder but I'm not sure that it even matters.

create a textfile called drop.sh (or whatever) and at the top type

#!/bin/bash
ln -s ~dropbox-dist/dropboxd ~.kde/Autostart (correcting the directory of course)


Save that file, right click it and on the permissions tab tick the box "is executable"

Thanks, I actually did a couple of things and got it to work. First off I was wrong on the directory. This directory /root/.kde3/Autostart is where you can put the script. I was trying by creating a folder in ~.kde. Anyway, my logical link ln -s (etc) just put a shortcut on my desktop and was rather useless (and in the way). I found Autostart in my .kde3 directory and pasted in:

#!/bin/bash
~./dropbox-dist/dropboxd

Now when I launch startx Dropbox appears in the taskbar. Great! I'm just going to post the link for downloading Dropbox for KDE b/c their tar is only for nautilus/gnome:
