Wireless issues with realtek rtl8191se driver on Backtrack 4 r2 on VMware 7.0.1

I want to use aircrack-ng to crack wep/wpa/wpa2 wireless passwords.

Make sure your device after backtrack has booted that you tell vmware to connect that usb key. What it sounds like is once you remove the bridge you dont have interent because for what ever reason your wireless either isnt configured to your accesspoint or it isnt connected at all. Can you confirm that inside linux it is actually there and drivers installed iwconfig -a

rizler, It is not connected in linux, neither the internal wireless adapter nor the usb adapter.

iwconfig give me

lo no wireless extensions




eth0 no wireless extensions

iwconfig -a

-a no such device

Before anything, have you checked whether your cards chipset is supported by aircrack?

My card is not listed, Sucks

Cheers to Backtrack and Metasploit just the same.

I'm able to use the metasploit in my pen-testing lab which is just very interesting, just gonna have to let aircrack rest for now until i have the compatible hardware.

I use the ALFA AWUS036H with no problems at all using pretty much the same setup as you. If you don't want to use that you could maybe have a look at this;
