Default How To Change Resolution In Backtrack R4R2 with Intel GMA45 Chip?

Could anyone tell me how to change my resolution to 1280x800 in backtrack please? I have just installed Backtrack R4R2 Persistent to a USB pen drive. When I try changing it with the icon in the bottom right hand corner my desired resolution is not listed. I have seen many threads detailing xorg.conf edits along with some workarounds for intel chipsets but these leave me none the wiser. Has anyone else had this problem after a fresh install?

    Any help greatly appreciated.
