    Mini PCIe (Built in)
Gigabit Atheros card works, but you have to use 'airmon-ng start wifi0' to set it into monitor mode.

There is mention of Atheros chipsets all over the list.

more specifically, who is the manufacturer for the card?

It doesn't appear to be listed there at all.

Although, it *IS* an atheros chipset, so it *SHOULD* be supported.

The HCL is a list of TESTED cards. So this would be a whole new thing. It should be supported, but there's no guarantee (but the again when is there?).

If you DO decide to get it, let everyone here know. That way, we can be sure to add it to the HCL...

It's a matter of preference really...

Would you suggest a ford or chevy? It comes to the same moot point, they both have their advantages.

Atheros does have an older driver, so it's been around longer and has fewer bugs, but may be lacking in advanced options.

And if you want to take your chance, go nuts. It's probably as good of a bet as any other out there on the market...
