exploit-db scripts vs Backtrack Exploit scripts. N00bie Question.

Hi,

I have Backtrack 4 R2 installed and have started using it and going through tutorials on the web. I have a question which I haven't been able to find the answer for yet.

What is the relationship between the exploits(*.rb) found in the metasploit exploit folder
'/pentest/exploits/framework3/modules/exploits'

and the exploit files downloaded from exploit-db.com in

'/pentest/exploits/exploitdb/platforms'.

In the exploitdb folder there are some .rb files as well as other source code for exploits.

When I 'use' an exploit in metasploit I assume those listed are from '/pentest/exploits/framework3/modules/exploits' as well as when I 'search' from the msfconsole.

Is this correct? If so how to I use the exploits from the exploitdb folder?
