Understood guys... thanks for all the quick replies! One last question... does anyone know if really old cards will work? Like the Netgear MA311. Thanks again for all your help!
It sees the networks, but gets -1 signal strength from all networks. It is using the orinoco drivers. Is it just not going to work?
not necessary....
the -1 simply means that power levels are not well reported using this card and this driver.........
but it's only a reporting pb.....
that should work even if you get -1 if your card is able of injection, have you ever inject with it ? have you try the --test ?

I did try to inject packets, but I am getting very few ARP request, I used this command: aireplay-ng -3 -b 00:16:B6:2E:C3:4E -h 00:14:A5:8A:02:CD eth1 (of course with the target BSSID and my MAC). I even tried this: aireplay-ng -0 eth1 -a 00:16:B6:2E:C3:4E eth1, but it told me something about an invalid value or deauthentication. Is there possibly a different driver I can use, or some other suggestion? Thank you!

You mean something like this?
aireplay-ng -1 0 -a (target MAC) -h (my MAC) eth1
Oh, just saw that it was a link that you were showing me. No, it is telling me invalid option, so I am guessing that it is not going to work! Thanks Prariefire for all the help. Man I got the worlds worst luck. I have a laptop with an 1390 WLAN adapter (latitude d820) does not work, I have a desktop with a MA311 does not work, and my friend let me borrow his WG311v3 card which does not work, and no money to get a card that will actually work. If anybody has any suggestions or fixes for any of these cards... please help! Thanks all of you senior members for all your help!
