speed of hydra login cracker

hey guys i was testing our rlogin password with hydra, but it seemed quite slow, is this related to my chipset, or internet speed. it seemed to run pretty slow in our lan also. is there any specific reason for this and how can we improve its functionality.

plz reply if there is any other suitable tool also!!

Look at the help files for timing. Reducing the threads may improve the performance of hydra.

Medusa is a comparable tool.

By the way, it is a stupid move to use a tool over the Internet, if you don't know how it works. You should test tools like this on a LAN that is isolated from all other nets, including the Internet.
