Alfa AWUS036H 1000mW 1W 802.11b/g and wpa handshake?

Ok well i recently bought the alfa AWUS036H 1wb/g and i tested it on backtrack 4 r2.

my question is is it possible to capture my 4 way handshake as my ap is 802.11n and i connect to it through a "N" wireless card.

I tested and it just wont give me the 4 way handshake, so is it not possible to capture a 4 way handshake from a "n" ap using this alfa card?

if not whats a solution for this, i know alfa has the 2w n too but i heard the drivers dont work correct yet.
