DUAL boot with backtrack 4 and windows

hello friends

i was using backtrack 4 and vista from my hdd]

recently i had to reinstall windows
problem i cant boot to backtrack
is there any solution to get dual boot option without instal backtrack
because backtrack 4 drive and files exist.......

Just boot from the LiveCD and reinstall Grub.

Just boot into the live cd and reinstall grub. Once you have booted up the live cd you can go into konsole and type grub ( as root) . This will take you to the grub prompt. You should then type find /boot/grub/stage1 . this will show you what hard drive grub is installed on. The hard drive number and partition number will be different for you. Then you can type root (hd1,4) . (hd1,4) will probably not be what you are going to have so you will need to modify that accordingly. then you type setup (hd1) and that should be it. You should now have grub reinstalled.

grub
find /boot/grub/stage1
root (hd1,4)
setup (hd1)

there all done
