Default keyboard loss on persistent usb mode

Hello erverybody, I'm a newbie on backtrack.

I made an usb key with backtrack 4r2 in persistent mode and it worked fine since 3 weeks.
Yesterday, after few hours I loss all of keyboard keys. then, I rebooted but as soon as I launch the GUI with startx command I loss the keyboard, no one keys respond on my fingers !! Although the keyboard is disable, the track-pad or the mouse work properly.

To sum up the keyboard doesn't work on backtrack but only on my persistent mode and only after write "startx". I don't understand what I did wrong.

Any idea to fix it ?
    thank you

It would probably be easiest to re-do the usb stick.
