    Default please help me wireless driver

    i have a two driver cards
    1. Dell wireless 1397 Wlan mini-card
    2. Atheros USB ar5523

    when i type in konsole terminal airmon-ng start wlan0
    cannot find wireless

    sorry about my english
    please help.......

    Did you start the networking ?

    Have you also tried ifconfig and iwconfig ? What are you running your BT on ? (Usb, HD, VM)
    A little more information would help

    The ar5523 probably won't show up atm, driver is under development. However it is sometimes possible to use the windows drivers, but you probably won't be able to monitor and etc. There are some ubuntu and Linux forums were this thread is discussed, also on debian wiki forum. I had this working on ubuntu with ndiswrapper, but only for use with my Internet Connection, not for aircrack-ng, driver won't show up at all.

    Are.you running a hdd install or running VMWare, because if.you are they you gave to enable your USB.

    i am use vmware works. 7
    i , installed eub-362 ext on backtrack4 but when i type
    airmon-ng start wlan0
    get nothing

    Reading is fun! So lets walk through this. First we go here and read about VMware, wireless adapters and you. Then we read the information already posted by TheFlyingDutchman:

    In short, either get a new USB wireless adapter or start writing your own drivers.
