I would love to see some more information on bluetooth hacks using BT4, however I have done quite a bit of
searching myself some time ago and was unable to find anything showing the previously available hacks working.
rfcomm connections are different with BT4 compared with BT3 and the tools included on BT4 do not seem
to be of the same value anymore.
I spent quite a bit of time on bluetooth and failed miserably.. not due to lack of effort though I have to say.
If you have any linkage to the bluetooth tools and a working connection / hack, would appreciate seeing them !
You and me both. Unfortunately bluetooth has taken a backseat in the hacking community, yes there are a few tools out there that do some fun things but nothing like the attack vectors we see with wifi. I believe the problem is the lack of promiscuous mode capability in the bluetooth adapters currently available. Fortunately with the release of ubertooth we now have an affordable promiscuous bluetooth adapter which will sniff bluetooth packets via wireshark! It shouldn't be long before we see a lot of new bluetooth attacks and maybe even bluetooth v2 considering how little to no security there is currently on our bluetooth devices.
I believe you when you say you've already done your research but I will mention the attacks that I'm familiar with. Bluesnarfing, bluebugging, and bluesmack.
