Default No wireless access points found

I know you guys are probably going to say search or something. But I have searched for a while and just joined this forum for help, and have found out a lot so far.

    First, I am using:
    VMware Workstation with BT4 R2
    ALFA AWUS036H usb

    I have started networking with:
    Code:
    /etc/init.d/networking start
I have internet access with local connection but I need to connect to/find access points.

When I type in airmon-ng I see my usb wireless card with an interface of wlan0.
No access points show up in WICD.

    Thanks for the help.
I hope that is clear enough.

update-rc.d wicd defaults will start wicd on boot
also add the wicd-gtk to autostart
    cp /usr/bin/wicd-gtk /root/.kde3/Autostart

also make sure your interface is typed in wicd wicd/preferences/general settings/wireless interface ( in the selected box of your wicd-gui)
