    Question Ubuntu --> Backtrack THEME

Is it possible to get the effects from Ubuntu into Backtrack? Or download Ubuntu Themes?

Probably so, but standard disclaimer applies.
To be successful here you should read all of the following.
    ForumRules
    ForumFAQ
If you are new to Back|Track
    Back|Track Wiki
Failure to do so will probably get your threads deleted or worse.

Basically I like the look of ubuntu, cursor effects and windows effects, themes, but I want to use backtrack for its utilities and aircrack-ng , etc.. Is it possible to install backtrack tools inside of Ubuntu?

In other words, i want to make my desktop to be like this>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MN5VI...eature=related

    Hi,

You can make your Backtrack look like this - I would not want to add these effects - For the simple fact they would eat up my valuable resources when I am trying 4 different brute force at the same time.

    Cheers!

Since BT is based on ubuntu u can put anything you want on your machine as far as you meet the dependancies.

Just my 2 cents, why not actually install Ubuntu with all your effects and run Backtrack in a virtual environment ?

Backtrack is a Pentesting distribution, it wasn't made to have special effects or something else, most of those won't work and you also have the change to mess Backtrack up by installing these and after that happens we will not help you anymore.
Back|track giving machine guns to monkeys since 2007 !

Do not read the Wiki, most your questions will not be answered there !
Do not take a look at the: Forum Rules !

If you see some of the earlier vids by pureh@te you will see some similar effects, so I am pretty sure you will be
able to accomplish some 'kewl' effects with the current version, however as Sickness stated, it is not what BT is
intended for, so any inadequecies / by products will probably not include much help here..

Having said that, eye-candy is something all of us like, so go for it, and let us know what works and what does not.
