(BackTrack 4, VMWare workstation 7.1.3, Windows XP)
Did not succeed to install Backtrack 4. ("But I am new in the business"). I've made a picture of the crash report. The details:
"Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/bin/ubiquity", line 229, in <module> main()
File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/bin/ubiquity", line 224, in main install(args[0])
File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/bin/ubiquity", line 67, in install wizard = ui.Wizard
(distro)
File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/fronted/gtk_ui.py", line 197, in__init__
self.translate_widgets()
File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/fronted/gtk_ui.py", line 577, in
translate_widgets self.get_string('partman/text/undo_everything'))
TypeError: GtkButton.se:_label() argument 1 must be string, not None
I installed the vmware workstation 7.1.3 and downloaded BackTrack 4. I started the install... the install.shield for backtrack appeared in the vm-workstation menu. I clicked the icon two times (to install the backtrack application) but then after a few minutes the process installing it stopped... it crashed to be more precise. What is the cause??? A piece of hardware of my computer? A schemer manipulating my computer? What's the cause???
What's the best method to install BackTrack 4 anyway???
