Default Make an iso/image of good Install

Hi guys, now i have been searching for this for a while and cant seem to find it (call me a Noob if you will).
I have an install which is perfect for me now and rather than rebuild it all next time i frag it i would love to be able to burn it off. Is it possible for me to do this or whould i have to make an image with an external source? Thanks

Didn't you ask how to make an image of your current setup?!

Now I'm really confused. An ISO *is* an image.

I think the guy just wants to make an image of his hard disk (e.g. (norton) ghost image) so that he is able to restore his system to the current situation in case of troubles.

Personally i can't help you. In fact, i also wonder how this can be achieved.

Try this for Hard Drive installs.
    Code:
    http://www.partimage.org/Main_Page
I have not tried to ReMaster the LiveCD so i cant help you there...

But as most anyone will tell you Google is your friend for that...

    Hope that helps

Apologies, the way i initially started this post has made it spiral out of control and has confused matters. I do appreciate that an ISO is an Image but theres a difference between 700Mb and 4Gb.

Intially i believed that there maybe a way for me to compress and write the installation i have on my hard drive back into a Live CD.

I have made changes to various configs for my laptops and would like to have all my customization on a live cd so if need be i can pass on a fully configured system onto collegues.

Apologies for the confusion. I'm more than aware that i could take a full image of the system state.

    Thanks guys.

Ok. Now I understand what you wanted to do...but I have no idea how you would do it, or if it's even possible.
