Default Books covering the Offensive Security Pro training

    Hi Guys

Not sure if this is the correct place to post mods can move if they like.

Are there any books out there that youd recommend covering the training in the offensive sec pro course ?

    Cheers

It is a paid course so they only way to get the current materials is to take the course. Its the best training on the web and its very affordable.

If you are afraid that you wouldn't make it through the course, no worries.

It is explained in detail, examples are given and the labtime is the best preparation for the exam.

I can totally recommend the trainings, took OSCP and OSCE. Best ones ever seen so far.

    thanks for the responses

its not really an affraid of the course thing ive taught myself everything up to know and i imagine if i commit to it this will be no different.

just now I dont have the money to fork out for it. thats why I was hoping for a book to have a read through on train and some basic hands on using some vms

although you dont recommend it is there any books out there on it? I checked amazon and the books the offer have a worrying lack of detail

    cheers again

Again there are not Offensive security books. There is however a course syllabus and using that you could work through some of the things that are taught. However there is no substitute for the actual training.
As far as general computer books go there probably a bazillion. There are even some lists here on the forums. Just have a look in the archives as well as in the experts section for more info. If there is anything that you would like to add please PM me or any one of the other forum staff in regards.
