Default how to access the dir?

hi, i m new to linux. i have one question to ask, how do we access the file in the hard disk? my hard disk is in ext3 format already.

i want to use this command. pyrit -i "path" import_passwords

so what the path should be? normally if the file is in root then just write the file name or if its in home dir just type /home/"filename". but if its in the hard disk partition what are the path? i tried a few but it dosent work.

We dont cover basic Linux usage here. Check out Archangel.Amaels new to Linux sticky in the Beginners forum.
