Hey everyone. I just wanted to give something back after all the help i had from here. This is from a lot of stuff i read on the net, i took most of it and made it into one large easy to read text file. Enjoy!

P.S I heard alot of people saying not to flash the card's FW with windows, but from what i have read, its SAFE as long as you COMPLETELY follow step 4.

1: Download and install Winupdate 7.0

2: Download the flash files needed (Version 1.7.4)

3: Select the 2 hex files that are compatible for your card
    -sf010704.hex
    -pk010101.hex
    -Worked for me-

4: Go to Device Manager and do the following:
    1) Click on Network adapters.
    2) Right click on the PRISM wireless card.
    3) Click on properties from the pull down menu.
    4) Click on the Advanced tab.
    5) From the properties list select Firmware Download (may also be called LoadFirmware) option.
    6) Select Disable from the Value option.
    7) Click OK.
    8) Repeat the normal PDA/Firmware update procedure.
    9) Repeat steps 1-8, but in step 7, select enable.

5: Take out the wireless card

6: Type the following in the bash prompt:
    rmmod orinoco_cs
    rmmod orinoco
    rmmod hermes
    modprobe hostap_cs

7: Now type this in the bash window:

    nano /etc/pcmcia/config

8: Go down to the #Wireless network adapters and look for:

card "Intersil PRISM2 11 Mbps Wireless Adapter"
    manfid 0x0156, 0x0002
    bind "orinoco_cs"

    Now change it to:

card "Intersil PRISM2 11 Mbps Wireless Adapter"
    manfid 0x0156, 0x0002
    bind "hostap_cs"

Now press CTRL-X to exit, it will ask you od you want to write to disk, type Y.
    Then type enter to close.

9: Now reinsert the wireless card and type:

    iwconfig

Now look and see if what is your card extention. It should be wlan0, if you still have eth1
    then you did something wrong.

    10: Now type the following:

    airmon-ng start wlan0 <channel#>
    ifconfig wlan0 up

    & continue with the attacks.

-I'm sorry that i didn't provide any credits to the people that wrote this, it's just that i was copying text from everywhere in a panic to really get this. I take no credit in ANYTHING here. I just wanted people to find the help they needed without all the headache. Thanks Bye!
