BackTrack 4 R2 will not boot on my laptop

I can not get BackTrack 4 R2 to boot on my laptop. I have managed to boot in in a VM. I have tried making my USB stick through unetbootin as well as from the VM following the "Persistent Live USB" tutorial, with and without the persistence parts.

I am getting an error:

request_module: runaway loop modprobe binfmt-464c

I have Google'd looking for more information about this error. It seems as if it has something to do with incompatibilities between a 32 and 64 bit OS's. Correct me if I am wrong, but BackTrack 4 R2 is a 32 bit OS. I have Ubuntu 10.10 64 bit installed to my laptop (on its internal hard drive), however, since I am booting exclusively off of USB, I am unsure of why that would have anything to do with the bootup process of BackTrack. Also, it appears as if it is trying to mount my laptop's internal hard drive's partitions on startup (/dev/sda*). I have also tried to boot up with no swap, to see if this affects the outcome. I installed BackTrack to my USB stick with unetbootin from my 64 bit Ubuntu 10.10 install, as well as followed the persistent USB tutorial, from a live BackTrack 4 R2 system from a virtual machine, seeing if this would work, to no avail.

Any ideas?

Can you boot it on another PC to verify the USB stick install is good? That will eliminate one variable.

This could also be a hardware issue, maybe yours is too old.
Try running it in a VMware or VBox.

I had to use "unetbootin" on a x86 system, every time i tried it on an x64, it would appear to work but i ran into similar problems.
Backtrack wouldnt boot properly. This was on top of the fact that for some reason, BT4r2 wouldnt boot into a gui...
Been a long day trying to get it to work.
