I am new to BT (and Linux in General) and I am having trouble installing it to my Toshiba L505. I know there is a Bios compatibility problem that people are fixing by adding the line acpi=off to the boot menu but I have heard that solution leaves a lot of your functions in the dirt.
Recently, Ubuntu released a new patched kernel (10.10) that works beautifully on my Bios, so what I am wondering is; can I use the newer U10.10 kernel in place of the current BT4 one?
Also, any other helpful suggestions/tips to get this working would be great! I know I could DL the apps and so forth to my working Linux Distro, but BT4 is cooler!
