When I disconnect from one of my networks and try to connect to another, wicd keeps connecting to the first one. Why's that? I have to reboot to connect to my second network, so it looks like I have to 'clear' something before being able to connect to another network. Right?

Try manually connecting to the networks.

Have you checked the "Connect automatically" box?
This happened to me a lot on Backtrack R1. Seems better in R2. Never figured out what was happening.
