Just wanted to thank BT4 developers for finally bringing full support to my wireless adapter(no installs/patches to add) in the new R2 release. Fully working monitor mode and injection! The card didn't work properly under earlier versions of BT4, and it needed a lot of patching and editing in BT3, now works like a charm!

I am running R2 and just purchased a RT2870 on ebay for a whopping $3 but I'm having stability issues with it using WICD. It will connect to an AP for a little bit then just randomly drop the connection.
I haven't tried to inject with it yet but aireplay-ng --test wlan0 doesn't have the same result for me...
[CORRECTION]
After playing with this for nearly an hour I decided to plug the adapter into another machine and see if it was the box.. and it was/is. I'm not sure yet what the problem is but in my old HP test bench machine it's a nogo.. But I'll address that another day.
I just wanted to let you know that it does appear to work. I'll try it on my APs tomorrow and let you know what I get..

I have problems on one system as well. Monitor mode and airodump work well but if you start sending a fakeauth or deauth the driver (rt2800usb) goes down at once. Another RT73 USB stick works properly on that machine (rt73usb). On a different system the RT2870usb seems to work flawlessly though (in vmware).
USB stick is 'Hama WLAN Stick 300Mbps' (RT2870E). It has two antennas.
