How to dual boot.

Okay so im new to Backtrack, My friend has been telling me about it for a while now,
Now that i start my second semester tomorrow, i have to learn Linux the next 3 weeks.
So instead of starting with ubuntu, i want to start with Backtrack4. The deal is im not quite sure how to get a dual boot.

Overview:

I have windows 7 on my computer, i would like to keep it. Its not that great of a comp, so don't like using Virtual machines. So i need to know like directions, on how to install a dual boot. I try'd google but all they told was how to start with BT and add windows. I have windows and want to add back track. I actually have a spear 4gig drive i could just put it on. and just change the boot sequance. I dont know. Just not to femiliar with this dual boot. Scratch the spare drive deal. Just how do i set up a dual boot, please some one help. Plus its my B-day, Dec/13/1988 and im 22.
