Softwares updates

Hello all ,

i know about :

root@bt:~# apt-get update
root@bt:~# apt-get dist-upgrade

but does this also update the softwares installed on backtrack ?
and about the existing exploits ... how are the known exploits updated ?

I think you should read what those commands do and you will find the answer and about the exploits, you should really check "svn"
