Bump........ :P
I found the drivers on the Rosewill website (Rosewill.com - Networking, Networking, Wireless Networking, Wireless Adapter - N USB, RNX-N2LX), and they came with a powerpoint with instructions.
First it tells me to uncompress the files, which I did ; Second it tells me to make the USB drivers, so I did
"cd rtl8712_8188_8191_8192SU_usb_linux_v2.6.0006.20100 511.tar.gz" to go into the folder with the drivers, and then I typed in "make" and pressed enter, it started making all the bunches of files and stuff, then it finished with no errors.
Now it tells me to clean the operating enviorment, so I type in clean and hit enter, and I got an error saying this :
ERROR: Module r8192s_usb does not exist in /proc/modules
ERROR: Module ieee80211_rsl does not exist in /proc/modules
ERROR: Module ieee80211_crypt_ccmp does not exist in /proc/modules
ERROR: Module ieee80211_crypt_tkip does not exist in /proc/modules
ERROR: Module ieee80211_crypt_wep does not exist in /proc/modules
ERROR: Module ieee80211_crypt does not exist in /proc/modules
So I skipped that step and ignored it, next what I did is the last step which said "insmod 8712u.ko" which worked perfectly fine, but no driver is recognized when I plug it in.
Please help..
Thanks in advance,
Chris M.
