are you running btr2 via vmware or hard drive install, fyi my macbook pro was doing the same thing when I was using vmware fusion. I fixed the problem by installing the iso then vmware tools, the prepackaged vmware image just wasn't working for me.
Yesterday i did a fresh install of Backtrack 4 R2, and had issues with the keyboard responsiveness. Its always staying 10 seconds like i have not typed in anything, and then i can see what i have typed. This did not occur in previous versions. And I´ve found nothing about it in the forums.
If you need more Information, please tell me what command I have to enter
Thank you and best regards,
hoinzy

In VM everthing works fine, except of the known bug with the background image not beeing resized on higher resolutions.
I´m talking about a fresh harddrive install on the newest Macbook Pro generation. Could someone please confirm this bug?

I can confirm it doesn't happen under a persistent HDD install on a 2010 macbook. I thought I saw it booted off USB, but it didn't manifest long enough to prove to myself that it did.
Still not underestimating the power...
There is no such thing as bad information - There is truth in the data, so you sift it all, even the crap stuff.
Unfortunately, I have the same problem :/
I'm running a fresh installation of BT4 R2 on my macbook pro and I'm not able to use the keyboard since it's freezing randomly.
My keyboard is not responding and just randomly adds a lot of characters that I added with a random delay.
Everything else runs well.
Everything was running well during my first boot and started to happen in both kde and flux after first reboot.
My macbook details:
Model Name: MacBook Pro
Model Identifier: MacBookPro5,2
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.66 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 6 MB
Memory: 4 GB
Bus Speed: 1.07 GHz
I will do some research but any help is appreciated.
