I get the same thing, except that I only get 6 ping replys. I have tried to use the wicd client, and wpa_supplicant. Open, WEP, WPA encryptions. All with the same results. The wireless card worked in bt4. I did a dist-upgrade to bt4 r1 and started having problems. Thought something might have broken during the upgrade, so did a clean install. Same results. I tried all the drivers drivers in wicd. The only one that allowed me to connect in wpa_supplicant was the wext driver. wpa_supplicant said the other driver types were incorrect. Has anyone been able to resolve this issue? If you need more information just let me know.

have u try download and upgrade your driver from your wireless driver website ? i cannot do it because now i'm rollback to backtrack 4, if there is an answer for my question i will upgraded again.

what wireless do you use ?

Im also using a rt2860 in an 901eeepc

I have not tried installing the new driver. I have tried the other methods found in the forums before deciding to do a clean install. I will try to do them again tonight. Some of the forums had similar issues, some issues I do not think were related but tried the resolutions anyway.

Whats weird is that the aircrack suite works fine, I just cant stay connected to my AP long enough to do anything. Wicd/wpa_supplicant is reporting that im connected until I do a refresh. And ifconfig shows me as having a nat address even when I cant ping the router.

I'll post any information I find after trying the resolutions tonight.

Working for me now in R2. Will test the injection capabilities later.
