Forgive me if this has been asked before - however i have searched all over this forum and Google for an answer without success.
Am relatively new to Linux / BT4 so again sorry if this is an obvious question.
Am playing around cracking WEP keys of routers within my house ( i have a couple setup of various models etc etc)
Having tried to packet inject to my netgear router it flew through and i managed to capture 20k worth of data within a couple of mins and cracked the wep OK.
However with another router, it's totally different..... packet injection is very very slow.
Am following these commands for both routers:
airodump-ng -c (channel) -w (file name) --bssid (bssid) (interface)
aireplay-ng -1 0 -a (bssid) -h 00:11:22:33:44:55 -e (essid) (interface)
aireplay-ng -3 -b (bssid) -h 00:11:22:33:44:55 (interface)
Any ideas?
PS. Am using VMware with rtl8187 with the mac80211 module loaded.
