I'm running BT2 final and I just got a netgear WG111 v2. I saw the other thread indicating that you can get this usb adapter working in BT2 final by installing (injecting) a RTL8187 driver, but I can't find the thread that was referred to, which is supposed to have instructions for how to do this. Can you post a link to these instructions, or the instructions themselves?
Oh yeah, and BT 2 is awesome!.

Hi-
I saw that thread but I didn't see any instructions on how to get the WG111 v2 working. I was hoping to find a command I can type, like the one I use for IPW3945 which is:
cd /usr/src/drivers/ipw3945-1.2.0/ && ./load
I'm sorta new to Linux, and I try to use gui as much as possible (yes, I'm a windows admin in my day job).
Can anyone give me a command I can type, or some easy to follow instructions for getting my new WG111 v2 working? If not, does anybody want to buy a WG111 v2?
thanks
This is what i have to do to get My wg111v2 working with airoscript.
Edit airoscript.sh to use ath0. It will not have anything there just "" add ath0 between the " ".
Start airoscript and everything should work fine. sort of.Code:/usr/local/bin/
after you do a attack you will need to unplug the wg111v2 and reinsert it and wait a few seconds and then you can start another attack.
with out airoscript use this
thats what i have had to do..Code:iwpriv ath0 rawtx 1
Also there is a newer patch for the RTL8187 chipset here
the fastest thing to patch the drivers is to follow this guide.Code:http://patches.aircrack-ng.org/rtl8187_2.6.20v2.patch
hope that helps.Code:http://www.aircrack-ng.org/doku.php?id=r8187
As i have found out the WG111V2 works but it is a pain in the ass sometimes.
