In some other distros there are similar problems with Konqueror
So I also vote for Firefox
Just a little thing, but
Why are all of the links from the main menu hard coded to use Konqueror? Konqueror does not function with the proxy here at work. I had to change every link to use FIreFox so that the distrobution is useful....
Not a great big deal, but seems kinda odd.

well why don't you changes the conf of htm php html filetypes
changes open with konqueror to open with firefox executable
i think will fix ur pb
