Getting BROADCOM Wireless to work in BackTrack!

i have a broadcom 4313 pci\ven_14e4&dev__4727&subsys_1483103C&rev_01
and have tried both of the top fixes and it still dosent see it also ive tried git clone git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/dw
any help is greatly appreciated

First thank you very much for all the valuable information posted here. Secondly, I want to add i've tried many methods in this thread some people have proposed and it got me a little further into finding what the hell is wrong with my machine. I have broadcom 4322 and I know some people have found fixes for that one in particular but I tried them to no avail.

I wont give up just yet but I need expert help into finding what the problem is. I will try and get an ethernet wired connection somewhere soon and figure something out, as I basically fixed the wired connection that didnt work at first. The wireless still doesnt, though. Thats what I'm working on at the moment, in my wireless device configurations, wireless hardware is set to nothing, while my wired hardware is connected on eth0. I tried wlan0 and all the different eth'x' I could. Ill keep you guys posted as to what I do and if it gets fixed I'll provide information for other people like me in need!

Hi guys

im running my backtrack 4 r2 in WMWare player i started networking
using the shell code:
etc/init.d/networking start

it seems that the virtual machine is connected to the host using a wired connection.
i would like to use my wireless card from the host machine
but i cant install the drivers. the host machine have broadecom 802.11g wireless card

and
if i run backtrack in live CD all the installation and configuration i make will be lost next time i boot the machine.

witch way is more relieble using live CD or using wmware
