irq event 29: bogus return value
hello all.. this problem just started for me. as im also new to linux and backtrack. although iv used the older versions. im still new to it..
im getting errors and it just keeps repeating. need help on solving this or where to look. i already checked google.
handlers:
[<f8452a30>] (atl1c_intr+0x0/0x610 [atl1e])
irq event 29: bogus return value f8481600

More info would be helpful. When did this happen during boot up or after? Did you check the md5sum of your download media? The type of hardware you have also.

It starts during boot. When i unplug my ethernet cable it does not do it. What im doing now is disconnecting the cable during boot, and reconnecting for internet access.

Same problem here, during boot, right after wicd starts up, HAL starts loading and returns:
Starting Hardware Abstraction Layer: haldirq event 28: bogus return value
then multiple lines similar to:
irq event 28: bogus return value f8181600 (atl1c_intr+0x0/0x610 [atl1e])
this only happens while plugged into wired ethernet controller: Atheros AR8132 / L1c Gigabit Ethernet

small annoyance but you can still login even while these messages are scrolling, just enter user/pw as normal and you'll get your ~# prompt.
