Backtrack splash gone after update?

hi, im running backtrack 4 r1 Black Hat edition, and after i did an apt-get upgrade, i no longer have the kde splash screen that says backtrack, now it uses the default kde 3.5 splash. can someone who still has the backtrack splash upload it so i can install it and get it back? thanks...

ok, so i figured this one out after a few hours.

the issue is that in backtrack the themes are located under /opt/kde3/share/apps/ksplash/Themes, instead of the typical /usr/share/kde3/apps/ksplash/Themes directory where most distributions put theirs. after i figured this out, i booted to the live cd and dumped that folder to my /home/ folder and overwrote the default installed theme. i am uploading the backtrack theme in case anyone else encounters this issue and doesn't want to take all of those steps.

I'm just spit ballin' here ... are you referring to the eye candy splash screen that uses a diagonal gradient from black to green as the background?

If so you should be able to type fix-splash from the terminal to recover your splash screen. The other option is fix-splash800 which is for the lower resolution if needed.

no thats not what i am referring to. i am referring to the loading screen for kde, when you issue the startx command and kde starts up. that is part of a program called ksplash which the kde uses to manage its splash screens, what you are referring to is the splash screen for the cli, which is managed through a program known as splashy.
