Default Suggest to build Backtrack on ubuntu 9.10(karmic)

After installing Backtrack 4 Final Release on my hard disk, I quickly
encountered the familiar KDE3 bug (dcopserver crash) in ubuntu 8.10.

ubuntu 9.10(karmic) is much smoother than previous releases. I wasted many hours on ubuntu 8.10 and 9.04 to make WUSB54GC (USB wireless card) work, but karmic recognizes it without any hesitation.

On ubuntu 9.10, Backtrack developers can use Ubuntu Customization Kit or
Remastersys to build a new Backtrack CD distro.

Well since it does have the word suggest I guess it is a suggestion.

I am making a point here and trying to share my experience to new comers.

The KDE3 bug did not appear immediately. I played around with BackTrack 4.0 to make it a fully functional desktop distro and the dcopserver suddenly crashed. Maybe I should have apt-getED GNOME right after the hard disk installation only if I want to flirt with ubuntu 8.10, but I had enough. I tried to upgrade to ubuntu 9.04 than to 9.10 and it didn't go through. I know I could simply copy /pentest directory to my ubuntu 9.10 build and most of tools still work (some exceptions though, like libnet is no longer supported in 9.10). I suppose BackTrack developers can do a better job than me on this matter.
