rtl8187 drivers channel problem

Hi all,
I just bought an alfa awus036h and when I did "iwlist wlan0 channel" it just gives me 11 channels

so i taked a look at synaptic and saw that driver installed is "legacy rtl8187 drivers pacthed for injection for kernel 2.6.35.2" version 26.1010.0622-bt7

or if i ran it under bt3 final i've got 13 channels

so a quick fix for me was to -- force version 26.1010.0622-bt6 in synaptic with wich I encounter no problem

after an "ifconfig wlan0 down" then "ifconfig wlan0 up" the iwlist cmd showed me the 13 channels and it's working like a charm with gerix for monitoring and injection atm.

If anybody has an idea of how to fix it in another way i'd glad to know even if I didnt find anything broken by that atm

This is not a bug.

iw reg set <country code>

iw reg set US - will unlock only 11 channels;
iw reg set FR (or any other europe country, if i'm not mistaken) - will unlock 13 channels;
iw reg set JP - will unlock all the 14 channels.
