Hello, I have a Hawking HWDN2, rev2 USB wifi antenna I'm trying to get going with BT4. Manufacturer says it is a Reaktek RTL8191SU chipset. My laptop is a Toshiba Portege R705-P25. I found a Linux driver for this chipset but I don't know how to install it or compile it or whatever you have to do in BT4 to get the dish going. Can anyone help with this? Thanks for your time, pm.
I boot BT4 from a USB stick, type "startx" and load the konsole.
I plug in the Hawking dish. No light on the dish.
"lsusb" shows the Hawking bus, device, ID 0e66:0015
"iwconfig" gives, lo "no wireless extensions" wmaster0, "no wireless extensions"
wlan0 is IEEE 802.11abgn ESSID:"" more lines here but it looks like this is the on-board wireless that needs to be blacklisted so I can use the Hawking dish? Be nice to know how to configure either so I could use the on-board if I don't have the dish with me.
"ifconfig" starts some kind of loopback and more lines but I don't know what it's doing. I think it's querying the on-board wifi.
"ifconfig wlan0 up" gives: no such file or directory.
"uname -r" gives: 126.96.36.199
