I Just installed ndiswrapper and got my dell 1450 usb installed but cannot figure out how to disable my onboard wireless card to see if i did install it correctly and to start using it. there is a wireless button on my laptop that i press and it will disable it but if i do ifconfig wlan0 up that will just turn on my onboard again. Any suggestions?

Of course, if you really wanted to have some fun, go to Wal-Mart late at night and ask the greeter if they could help you find trashbags, roll of carpet, rope, quicklime, clorox and a shovel. See if they give you any strange looks. --Streaker69

just type airmon-ng in konsole and see which one is your usb card.

Is there anyway of providing a kind of tutorial on installing the driver for dell 1450 usb device, please? Because it's a real problem for the it's users: there is no tutorial on the internet on how to install it!
