I seriously think you should follow the official guides: USB Live | BackTrack Linux - Penetration Testing Distribution
Hi
I've downloaded BackTrack 4 R2 Release ISO
Then inserted my USB stick into my Laptop so I can make it bootable
Then
System - Administration - Startup Disk Creater
Then I clicked on the "Erase" button to make sure there's nothing hindering the download process
Then I clicked on the "Other" button
I found the downloaded BackTrack file "bt4-r2.iso" in the "Download" section under "Places" - clicked on it
But I couldn't find it under the "CD-Drive/Image" list
I repeated the process many times just in case I happen to have missed anything. I double-checked the extension format...it was an ".iso" format!
If there's another way that anyone knows of, that will help me make a successful download to BackTrack Linux, please do tell me
Thanks

I'm pretty sure the "Universal USB Installer" (google that) supports backtrack. Makes installing to USB a breeze.

I recently followed this video tutorial and it worked like a charm. Maybe you want to check it out as well. Good luck.
