I'm posting this here because I consider myself a noob, but the question is about backtrack.

Real simple,

Is there any way I can update to the latest version of BackTrack without having to re-install it?

I have BT installed on a USB Hard Drive (NOT a flash drive) uncompressed. I don't remember exactly WHAT I did, but to get it to work without a Kernel Panic, I had to modify some file to initialize USB support earlier in the boot sequence. Any help would be appreciated!
