Recently I have been learning about port 135, Netbios ssn...

I am also interesting in this Windows protocol enough to want to delve into it more, however tuts are a rarity in regards to Netbios SSN, so as a last resort I just had a few questions to ask and hopefuly draw a response...

I have read the tut on the old forums posted by Pureh@te titled, "So you want to be a hacker", which entaled the lookup and login process baring in mind the login was sucessful as Anonymous, however in my case and testing it cannot be done, so;

1. Is it possible to bypass the root password promt.
2. If not bypassable, is hydra a feasable tool to use.

How rare? Study network protocols, computer architecture, communication networks, etc., that you will find your answer, among many other too!

Is there anything you would reccomend in terms of tuts that would be worth a read?

I am relativley new, but not a complete newb, or so I believe...

In terms of rarity, it could very well be my wording of the search, but i will continue and take your advice at the same time.

I come here to learn as would be the generic response by most defensivley but I maintain that the human touch is sometimes, quite refreshing
