Not receiving any data packets while cracking WEP key.

I'm trying to crack a WEP key using backtrack 4.Everything goes well, but after successful association,I get this :-

Read 1140 packets (got 0 ARP requests and 0 ACKS sent 0 packets...0PPS)

Im not even able to receive any 'Data' while using airodump-ng on the network.

Inspite of that I even tried the command, aircrack-ng wep-01.cap but it says 'Got no data packets'.

It clearly means I'm not able to recieve or send any data packets.Does that means my wifi card is not compatible ?

How do you mean you aint getting any if it says "reading 1140" packets? just try running aircrack long enough and it will be fine.

And if that doesn't help either, try with googling "clientless wep crack", and "aircrack-ng"

List the commands you are using step by step please, no idea what you are doing before that step.

is there any traffic on the network, its possible you have 1140 beacons and no data. If this is true its possible to use the fragment and forge attack instead. Best thing to do is to read the aircrack-ng documentation, especially search around about gathering iv's without clients. or since you are the OWNER of the AP you can initiate some traffic on the network instead.
