Does anyone have any experience of running BT4 on a 1001PX netbook? If it doesn't work can anyone recommend some other cheap netbook that is fully compatible?
I've installed backtrack 4 R1 on my asus 1001 px. Everything works including the wireless driver.
Except one problem. The chipset from the video isn't supported. So you will only be able to run backtrack in 800*600. I hope this problem will be resolved in Backtrack 4 R2.
You can't fix this problem because you will have to install a new kernel and some other updates.
I'm using Asus 1005ha and quite happy with it. However the keyboard and mouse pad is quite unconfortable
I hear that acer aspire one models are also compatible, maybe they are easier to work with.
I can confirm what Yokke is writing. Both monitor mode and injection works perfectly. Eagerly awaiting a kernel update with the new Intel drivers so I can run the 1024*600 resolution.
It is a nice little gadget, though the battery only lasts me about two hours (Windows XP) with normal web surfing.
