bt4 final bootable cd login incorrect

hi guys i am using the backtrack 4 final bootable dick and i am tryingto log in. the problem is (1) it never prompts to login (2) when i use the login command root/toor doesnt work and i keep getting incorrect error... i have read many of the other people posting and nothing seems to work.. i have tried going under persistent live cd and n
using no password with no effect. if someone could tell me what i am doing wrong or if i got a bad copy that would be great!!!

If you are using a live DVD, the backtrack asks login and password only when you have installed on HD. Through the live does not ask login and password.
Check the integrity of the iso, check the md5!
Always detail your problem for everyone to understand.
